About iFinallyWill

We built the ecosystem
we wished existed.

Not because the world needed another will template — but because we kept watching families fall through the cracks between one document and the next. iFinallyWill is what we wished our own families had.

Competitors help you create documents. iFinallyWill helps your family navigate what happens next.

Why we built this

The system was broken in four ways.

Between us we'd spent careers in wealth, tax and estate work — and we kept seeing the same failures repeat, no matter how good the documents were.

Real planning was too expensive

Proper estate planning sat behind $2,500+ legal bills, so most families either cut corners or never started at all.

The solutions were fragmented

A will here, a vault there, an executor scrambling somewhere else. Nothing connected — and the gaps were exactly where families got hurt.

Families kept falling through the cracks

The document was signed, but no one knew where the assets were, who to call, or what to do next. The plan stopped exactly when it mattered most.

Outside investors kept driving prices up

Too many platforms answer to investors first, raising prices and monetizing data instead of serving the family on the worst day of their life.

So we built it differently

One connected ecosystem — will, POAs, AI guidance, the Last Treasure Map, executor support and secure storage — at a price a family can actually afford. The thing we wished existed.

Why we exist

Three questions we've been answering for 18 years.

Not in surveys. Not in support tickets. Across real desks, in real legal matters, as part of active Canadian estate planning and probate work.

⚖️

Is this actually legal?

People want certainty before they sign — not a disclaimer that says "consult a lawyer."

🛡️

What happens if something goes wrong?

People want to know the document will actually work when it's tested. Not just when it's signed.

🤝

Who stands behind this?

People want to know the platform was built by someone who has seen what failure looks like, and built against it.

What we've seen

Wills challenged for ambiguity. Estates delayed for years over poor execution. Families forced into court over documents that "looked fine" online.

Those weren't product-idea conversations. They were the reason the product exists.

Meet the founders

Built by people who do this for a living.

A tax and estate lawyer and a legacy planning strategist who spent careers serving affluent families — now making that same caliber of planning available to everyone.

Dale Barrett and I built iFinallyWill as a complete family legacy ecosystem, not another online will shop. Dale’s role is central to that distinction: the platform is built and drafted around the judgment of one of North America’s most respected tax and estate lawyers, a bestselling author, frequent speaker, and mentor to accounting, legal, and advisory professionals. And we built it to be accessible — the full ecosystem at a fraction of what comparable services charge, because we answer to families, not investors. FutureVault adds the enterprise infrastructure trusted by leading financial institutions. Together, that gives clients a complete estate-readiness system at a price point built for the general public.
